Hunter Douglas Acquires Elmar Window Fashions, USARotterdam, 26 January 2006 – Hunter Douglas, the world market leader in window coverings, has acquired Elmar Window Fashions, a leading fabricator and wholesale distributor of Hunter Douglas products, based near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S.A. Terms were not disclosed.

In 2005, Elmar had sales of USD 61 million and has 350 employees. Operating from three locations, two in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area, and one in Charlotte, North Carolina, Elmar fabricates a broad range of Hunter Douglas window covering products which are distributed through retailers along the U.S.A. Eastern seaboard from Maine to Florida. Operations and Management will remain unchanged.

Hunter Douglas has its Head Office in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, and a Management Office in Luzern, Switzerland. The Hunter Douglas Group is comprised of 163 companies with 65 manufacturing and 98 assembly operations with marketing organizations in more than a 100 countries. Hunter Douglas employs about 18,000 people and had sales in 2004 of EUR 1,720 million.

The shares of Hunter Douglas N.V. are traded on the Dutch and German Stock Exchanges.
