Rotterdam, April 24, 2012 – Hunter Douglas, the world market leader in window coverings (Luxaflex®), and a major manufacturer of architectural products, has acquired W.H. Produkter, a leading Danish manufacturer of made-to-measure window covering products.  

W.H. Produkter is based in Odense, has annual sales of about EUR 8 million and employs 60 people. The company’s management will remain unchanged and its employment will not be affected. Terms were not disclosed. 

The acquisition of W.H. Produkter will further strengthen Hunter Douglas’ position in the Scandinavian window covering and sun protection market. 

Hunter Douglas has its Head Office in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, and a Management Office in Lucerne, Switzerland. The Hunter Douglas Group is comprised of 168 companies operating in more than 100 countries. Hunter Douglas had sales in 2011 of USD 2.573 billion and employs about 16,500 people. 

The common shares of Hunter Douglas N.V. are traded on Amsterdam’s Euronext and the Deutsche Börse.
