Rotterdam, 4 January 2019 – Hunter Douglas, the world market leader in window coverings (Luxaflex®) and a major manufacturer of architectural products, has divested Nedal, its Dutch based aluminum extrusion business to Purso, a Finnish family owned producer of aluminum profiles, components and building and lighting systems, effective 31 December 2018.
Nedal’s management and operations will remain unchanged.
The Works Council supports this change.
Terms were not disclosed.

Nedal had 2018 sales of approx. EUR 75 million and employs 200 people.

Hunter Douglas has its Head Office in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, and a Management Office in Lucerne, Switzerland. The Group is comprised of 134 companies with 48 manufacturing and 86 assembly operations in more than 100 countries. Hunter Douglas employs about 24,000 people and had sales in 2017 of USD 3.2 billion.

The common shares of Hunter Douglas N.V. are traded on Amsterdam’s Euronext and the Frankfurter Börse.
