Hunter Douglas has called a special meeting of shareholders on 27 January 2017 in Willemstad, Curaçao to fill a vacancy on the Board. This is the only item on the agenda.

The company is proposing that the shareholders appoint Anthony Ruys to fill the vacancy. Mr. Ruys worked for 20 years at Unilever in marketing and in management. Thereafter, he was a member of the Executive Board of Directors of Heineken for 14 years, the last 4 years as the Chairman of the Executive Board. From 2005 Mr. Ruys was Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Schiphol and member of the Supervisory Board of a.o. ABN AMRO. He is currently a member of the Supervisory Board of Intertrust.

The Board of Directors has set a record date of 24 January 2017 for the meeting.
