Rotterdam, July 14, 2005 - Hunter Douglas and Bergson are pleased that the Rotterdam District Court rendered a judgement today dismissing the summary judgement proceedings brought by certain minority shareholders of Hunter Douglas. The plaintiffs were seeking, amongst other things, to enjoin consummation of the tender offer by Bergson for 10,500,000 common shares of Hunter Douglas.

The tender offer was launched on July 2, 2005 and will proceed in accordance with the bidding process described in the offer document. The offer period will close on July 29, 2005 at 15.00 hours, unless extended.
